Hong Kong Arts Festival – Arts Education Training Series:
“Enhancing Students’ Capability for Appreciating Arts Performances”

The Hong Kong Arts Festival cordially invites secondary school’s principals and teachers to participate in the event, which is supported by the Education Bureau Arts Section, and held on 3 July 2015, 15:00 – 18:00 at the Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, Wan chai.

The development of interest in the arts among young audiences is one of the most important tasks of the Festival. In addition to providing young people with opportunities to appreciate performances by renowned international and local artists as well as budding artists, the Hong Kong Arts Festival also organises performance tours, lecture and in-school workshops to enrich the students’ experience, and nurture their aesthetic sensitivity as well as life-long interest in the arts.

Comprising talks and workshops, this event seeks to enhance teachers’ knowledge and understanding about the learning and teaching strategies for nurturing secondary students’ capability for appreciating the performing arts, so as to facilitate the implementation of Aesthetic Development in Other Learning Experiences. Two talks will be hosted by speakers from the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Arts Festival, followed by workshops conducted by experts in performing arts and education. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
