WHO ARE WE
The Young Friends (YFS) of the Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) is an integrated, multi-disciplinary arts education and audience development programme designed to enhance the appreciation of the performing arts among secondary and tertiary students, offering a unique opportunity for students to interact with some of the world’s top artists and ensembles featured in the HKAF programmes each year. Last year, an incredible 37,242 individuals attended Festival performances through the YFS, and of these, 10,314 from 185 different secondary schools and 36 tertiary institutions became YFS members.

Since 1992, with support from the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund, the YFS has produced an array of memorable arts education programmes, reaching out to 618,757 students, of which 109,243 became YFS members.
