Make an impact on the lives of young people

HKAF invests heavily in arts education for young people, and organises an expansive and diverse range of outreach programmes every year.

HKAF is grateful to the many organisations which support its educational projects, including the continued, generous support of the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund since the establishment of the Festival’s Young Friends in 1992, and the Tencent Foundation as a Young Friends Corporate Sponsor from 2015/16 to 2017/18. Over the past 26 years, Young Friends has reached over 730,000 students, including around 154,000 members. Other major outreach projects include the Festival’s Artists-in-Residence project supported by BNP Paribas since 2011, and the Student Matinee Programme supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust since 2007.

If your company or organisation is interested in supporting HKAF’s educational projects, please contact the Development Department on (852)2828 4910/11/12, or via email at dev@hkaf.org.

We also welcome donations to our Student Ticket Scheme which enables full-time local students to attend the Hong Kong Arts Festival’s performances at 50% discount, allowing the younger generation in Hong Kong to actively participate in the Festival.

Discount Stores

Beyond wonderful arts events and activities, our members are entitled to an array of discounts at selected Young Friends stores upon presentation of a valid 2017/18 Young Friends membership card.

Would you like to become one of Young Friends discount stores and give special offers to young art lovers? Every year, Young Friends has a membership of about 6,500 students. If you want to tap into this young customer base, just fill in the discount store agreement below and return it to us by fax at 2824 3798 or via e-mail at afyfs@hkaf.org.

To show our appreciation, we will acknowledge your company’s support on Young Friends website and in all the 2018 HKAF House Programmes (upon confirmation of your participation by 31 December 2017). You will also be invited to attend our annual Outstanding Young Friends Prize Presentation Ceremony.
