Some of the 2011 Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) programmes are adapted or devised from the classic literary stories. Do you discover the beliefs, values and the worlds of the writers by reading their classic literary stories? What is the relationship between the world in the stories and the society nowadays?

Led by a group of professional tutors - Lo Chun-ho, Ben Yuen, Chin Kwok-wai, Yuen Hon-wai, and Lo Hang-yin - the workshop will feature movement, percussion and visual projections, which will help students improve three important skills:

 Literary analytical skills: Three classic stories being performed in the 2011 Hong Kong Arts Festival - Peter Pan, Hobson’s Choice, and West Side Story - will be analyzed. Various topics will be explored, including self-determination, teenage dreams, and love stories.

 Theatre skills: The use of body movement, sound, visual images, gestures, and voice projection will be taught to enhance your knowledge of theatre.

 Interpretation skills: Through observation and expression, you will build up your own version of a story and will learn to interpret and share your ideas with the audience.

After completing the workshop, you will be a storyteller and travel around the world of classic literary stories with the audience in 2010 MY Summer Show.

Remarks: the statement of attendance will be issued if the participant has attended no less than 80% of the workshop sessions and has participated in 2010 MY Summer Show.
